Conservation in Action

Pinebluff Parks – Moore County

SALT holds a conservation easement on over 100 acres of natural area, open space, and parklands in the town of Pinebluff, NC. The land includes West Side Park, Cunningham Park, Delano Park and Pinebluff Lake, Well Springs Park and the Veterans Memorial Park. The site of the Pinebluff Lake was originally a mill pond built in 1850. A piece of local history can be seen at the Veterans Memorial Park, where floor tiles from the old Pinebluff Inn are visible among the engraved markers honoring the branches of military service. All Pinebluff parks are open from dusk until dawn. A small water access point on Pinebluff Lake allows for kayaking and canoeing. While there is a pier for swimming, it is only open to Pinebluff residents.
