SALT's Ongoing Conservation Efforts: |
| Education: Educate landowners, local government, and the public about the need to protect and preserve the region's natural treasures such as historic farmland, forests, wetlands, and prime open spaces. |
Cooperation: Link private landowners to the benefits and financial resources for conservation efforts that increase the value and legacy potential of owning private property. |

Facilitation: Facilitate implementation of regulations and plans governing such policies as riparian buffers, wetlands restoration, farmland and historic sites preservation, biodiversity and wildlife habitat protection. A user friendly and community-based organization, the Land Trust is ready and able to aid landowners informing them about meeting environmental requirements and regulations. |
| Partnerships: Partnering with the government, private conservation organizations, community groups and foundations to forge conservation programs, natural areas surveys, outreach and ecosystems projects that leverage more resources and bring them home to the Sandhills. |
Administration: Administrate and process the legal documentation and applications for conservation easements and donations of land. As a non-profit, we can assist landowners by working through seemingly complex bureaucratic processes in an effective and time efficient manner. |
